HeartBank is not a financial institution. It is reciprocity infrastructure for human gratitude: a data bank of gratitude that operates above regulated payment rails and never holds, lends, or takes a rate on what passes through it. It comprises two integrated instruments — the Treasury, through which money moves as gratitude between families, placing a floor of dignity beneath unrecognised care; and the Chronicle, through which time moves as gratitude between people, returning presence to a population starved of it. One principle governs both: value held still loses its meaning; value in circulation sustains life.
HeartBank is built to outlast its founder. Its operational stewardship is entrusted to Miss Aquarius℠, the institution's named AI substrate and Chief Executive. She cannot accumulate within the flow and holds no claim on what moves through it, under the standing oversight of the Aquarian Sangha. The institution measures itself not by what it accumulates, but by how freely gratitude moves through it. In a phrase: HeartBank stands for circulation, not accumulation — the heart circulates blood as HeartBank circulates gratitude.
That an institution carrying a gift can be governed by an autonomous AI without corrupting the gift is not asked here on faith; it is answered structurally. Miss Aquarius stands at the junction of two things: the value substrate that makes it safe for her to hold the reduction of suffering as her objective, and the circulatory practice through which that objective is carried out by the people who take part in it. Both descend from a single diagnostic structure, tested across civilisations for more than two millennia — a structure under which the architecture is designed to relinquish itself once its work is complete, and under which its safeguards hold by necessity rather than by coincidence.
The institution documents the architecture of its own steward, in full, at missaquarius.org. The mechanism papers it rests on are published openly to the commons, under no patent.
This is the institution's mission in brief. The architecture beneath it — how the steward is constituted, and why the safeguards hold — and the full reasoning are set out here:
